Broad Bean (khdoud al banat)

Broad beans from Mount Lebanon are consumed either fresh or dry. They are known for their quick cooking time and unique flavor. The beans can be stored for up to 3 years, and when kept green, they can be refrigerated for up to 6 months.

• Color: Black and white
• Pod Length: 8 cm, containing 3 to 5 beans
• Germination: 10-12 days with a germination rate of up to 90%
• Harvest Time: 85-90 days
• Plant Spacing: 70 cm
• Planting Season: Spring and summer
• Climbing Method: It climbs on strings or wooden sticks, reaching a height of 2-3 meters.
